RTW Womenswear Technical Designer (New York based):

We are seeking a Technical Designer to join our team to help manage and support our continued growth. This role will intimately work with the CEO and the Design and Production team to coordinate and distribute the communication of fit comments and consistent prototype stage development between vendors and internal departments. The position must be able to perform the below mentioned technical design related tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with the CEO and Designer to create and develop tech packs with specs and construction details for all seasonal line-up approved styles mainly including but not limited to RTW, Swim, and Accessories
  • Digitally build CADS/flat sketches for all approved styles with design team
  • Collaborate with Designer to mock up physical sew-by using in office samples and garments to achieve and physically illustrate initial fit spec of sketched garment
  • Prepare for and conduct fittings to record with photos and logging all necessary fit comments while consolidating with Design team to ensure all garment construction of spec, quality, and workmanship
  • Lead and maintain communication with all vendors and factories regarding fit comments of tech packs and garment corrections to track and prioritize timely sample flow and making sure all deadlines are met
  • Maintain & oversee seasonal racks
  • Interact proactively with Design and Production during pre-production stages to cross functionally approving release to market and ensuring all grading charts are accurate and delivery times are met
  • Revise and update all internal seasonal line sheets and charts with tracked logging of all tech packs/corrections/sew-bys sent
  • Maintain and consistently update shared drive folders of tech packs and corrections

Requirements and desired skills:

  • Degree in Technical Design, or Patternmaking preferred
  • 4-5 years related experience in Technical Design, Patternmaking and garment construction knowledge
  • Ability to work with a broad range of fabrics and identify fabric technology such as cut+sew, soft wovens, tailoring
  • Sewing skills: ability to work basic sewing/pressing equipment
  • Experienced proficiency and strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication required.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Familiarity and understanding of the brand, consumer and market

Wholesale Sales Manager (New York based):

The Sales Manager will oversee our International and Domestic Wholesale & E-commerce business. The ideal candidate prioritizes the Danielle Guizio customer and has an entrepreneurial spirit, is creative, and willing to think outside the box and do what it takes to help the brand continue to grow. This role is based in New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to maintain and increase business
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Manage, develop and maintain strong relationship with buyers
  • Manage: weekly selling reports, OTS reports, sales projection reports, end of season recaps
  • Help manage inventory projections to hit sales goals
  • Liaise with design team on monthly basis to communicate sales’ needs and provide merchandising feedback
  • Oversee operations between internal DG logistics team departments
  • Provide communication from stores regarding product needs and feedback
  • Create detailed market prep to highlight top account needs, plans, and budgets
  • Work strategically to achieve and exceed seasonal and annual sales targets

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in wholesale sales in apparel industry
  • Manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with buyers
  • Strong leadership skills and team management experience
  • Ability to solve problems as well as recognize issues and help bring them to the table to be solved together if assistance is needed
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively plan and execute strategy

RTW Womenswear Technical Design Internship (New York based):

Responsibilities include:

  • Measuring Garments
  • Maintaining samples and sample racks
  • Attending and taking notes/photos in fit sessions
  • Translating fit session notes and fit corrections into comments for global vendors to understand
  • Communicating to global factories to communicate information about style fit and construction
  • Creating detailed technical flat sketches and construction callouts in Illustrator
  • Work closely with design and production team
  • Report to the Head of Technical Design


Requirements:

  • Pursuing degree in Fashion Design, a focus in Technical Design is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of basic fit issues and corrections and interest in Technical Design
  • Familiarity and knowledge of MS Excel & Adobe Programs
  • Minimum availability of 3 days per week

Fashion Production Internship (New York based):

As a Production Intern at DANIELLE GUIZIO, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Production Manager. Our Production Interns gain invaluable hands-on experience in product development, sampling, timeline management, and communication with vendors.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage WIP reports 
  • Sample management, tracking and coordinating shipments with factories for bulk delivery
  • Create seasonal factory development charts
  • Generate Purchase Orders
  • Track shortages and overages
  • Update shipment arrivals and breakdowns
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Excel
